Our Squadron has really stepped up to the plate in 2015 refurbishing the Howitzer, installing new flag poles and creating an in-ground American flag memorial comprised of black & white granite pavers to honor our veterans, living and dead and others who have served in our Armed Services. This is a must see for anybody traveling through our area. In addition to our traditional veterans, there are pavers honoring WACS and WAVES from WW2, and service dogs. Our thanks to SAL member Barry Abbot who spearheaded this project.
This is an ongoing project, and pavers can be purchased for $100 each. If there's someone special in your life who you would like to honor, or if you would just like to make a donation to the project, contact the legion.
We meet at Post 17 of the first Thursday of every month at 7 pm.
The DuBois Squadron of the SAL welcomes you. As part of the Legion Family here at Post 17, our Squadron takes an active role with the legionnaires, the Auxiliary and the Riders. We are the proud sons and grandsons of US military veterans, who earned by their service in times of war or conflict, eligibility for membership in the American Legion.
